For the fourth year in a row, Crowned Heads has released their limited Las Calaveras series. Artwork by Jose Guadalupe Posada and the Mexican celebration, Dia de Muertos, or the Day of the Dead, inspired the visionary minds of Crowned Heads. Rather than mourning loved ones, the spirit of this holiday is to celebrate their lives. The oily, Ecuadorian Habano wrapper encases the premium, aged Nicaraguan filler and binder. Mocha, licorice, cedar and spice linger on the palate with undercurrents of roasted nuts and vanilla. Attention to detail is evident in the packaging, with the three rows signifying beginning, middle and end, while the rows of eight is a biblical representation of new beginnings. Aficionados can indulge their senses in this refined smoke as they reminisce and celebrate the lives of those who are no longer with us.
